Effectively, this allows you to breath underwater, in a similar way to how fish breathe, or in areas of limited oxygen, like high altitudes. Unfortunately, the very oxygen it helps you to absorb, also slowly breaks down the active compounds. This means it only works for a short time, or until you’ve taken a breath of normal air."
