A story from Digi-P, that doesn't center around TF? Well anyways, I think MLP could use an episode dealing with this theme - it applies very much to members of the Brony fanbase who I refer to as "BRINOs". (BRony In Name Only) If you start giving the cold shoulder to people who don't share your obsession and do stuff like abandon your furry life to become a brony... then honestly, you deserve to lose all your friends. It's ungodly ironic when people do that and call themselves "Bronies", since Bronies are all about promoting the idea that friendship is magic. And what kind of friend are you if you decide to just leave your old friends behind cause they're not bronies? Yeah...
Oh yes, this has happened to me. I used a pony name generator to generate some of these names... one of them was the name of the BRINO who did this to me. The one who left furnet without a word and left a dozen people wondering where he was because, surprise surprise, he said nothing when he left, and when people start getting worried... ugh.
Also it's not what it looks like - Rarity and Nickel Steel are not getting shipped together. Yes he took her to the Gala... cause she asked him to. :P

A nice little story with an important lesson.
Yeah there's not much of an excuse to leave your friends without a word, especially in the information era where it is so much easier to stay in touch. I had a friend who did something similar to this one, although not as extreme. One day his Steam account just disappeared without a word from him. I was actually a little worried about him. I didn't hear from him for several months, but when I finally did, I asked him and he said that Steam was causing issues for his computer so he deinstalled it. I was like, "Well you could have at least told me, I was kind of worried about you when that happened."
As for the brony thing, unfortunately every group has its hypocrites.

Yeah, honestly, this is the kind of thing that I wish Ha$bro would make in MLP: FiM. Just because they try to give lessons that apply to everyone, and this could be an "Are you listening, Bronies? This one's for you". Not to be anvillicious in this comment, you saw my point anyways. :P
Really fun read. :) Your ponyfics always do a neat job of capturing the feel of Ponyville in a way that feel genuine, makes them really fun to read. I like the message of sorts too. Whether it's a location you're living in or a fandom you're aligning yourself with, what really matters are the friends you make and connect with there.
