My first real encounter with anthropomorphism came with Warcraft 3, where the powerful tauren stole my heart as they were something I never saw before. Come does world of warcraft, and ofcourse do I roll a tauren. Upon the screen, I came to prefer the more evenly modelled females over the hulking males, and thus did I roll a female tauren druid. ...And since have I preferred female avatars in just about every game. (Except in Mass Effect, then it's even! Sure, I love you FemShep, but you can't romance Tali. Sorry!)

I was late on getting world of warcraft, as I got it the day before TBC launched, so I have never had a taste for vanilla. Thus, my first real nostalgic and iconic time was when I got to level 70 with Nataera, my druid, and got her equipped in PvP gear, an image of the red tier 4 armour ingrained as I ran around Shattrath and the Battleground guys.

I came back from a break a few months after Pandaria launched, and I have to say that it is the best warcraft content I have seen since Warcraft 3. But nothing beats the first time you hit levelcap and get your hands on your first sets of purples. Quite and experience.
