another deamon of hell. they live on their own due to a nasty habit of killing one another. they absorb blood through the massive pores all over their skin, though they're most dense on the face and underbelly, this is the reason for their colouring. they don't need eyes, the thing on teh front of their face is a kinda super sensitve nose.

Wow! I love it! Nice concept, and I have a thing for "bestiary" type stuff. Lots of breeds of creature or monster ^^ It's very cool, and this is great.
I just love the idea, it's great, the way you describe it up there and the way the picture reflects it. It looks that it could be a "real" thing, but is still suitably bizarre, almost alien.
The composition, way you've put it together, that's exceptionally cool, I really mean it! It looks like it's taken from some kind of book of a series of monsters. That shadow is particularly awesome, I'm really impressed at how you got it done so well! :D It's perfect, adds such a level of realism.
As does the whole shape and make of the creature. As I say, it looks very suitable, just the right blend of vicious and realistic, and there are lots of specific points adding to this. The claws, for example. They look nasty, but the shortness of the arms makes them appear more like tools for climbing or defense than a hunting tool, so you've avoided the temptation to do dramatically (and thus unrealistically) large sharp talons.
The same goes for the head. The horns are just the same: restrained and realistic, not overdone or anything. And it hasn't got some vicious, warped face, it's just a creature. That's what I love so much: you've not done the typical "Blargh, so evil!" look of a daemon, which can be cool sometimes, but can also be prone to getting overdone, and just wouldn't be that suitable for what we have planned. Instead, you've done something that looks dangerous, but in a real way, the same way a panther or a shark looks dangerous. Sharks aren't covered in blades and with massive arms protruding, etc. They're just efficient killing machines.
That's exactly what this looks like: an efficient machine. Something distinct from our more "developed" daemons in that it does look more like an animal, designed to do it's job rather than more advanced things. That nose you mention does remind me of a shark, and I'd imagine it acts in much the same way, sniffing out blood. I'd also like to note "Bloodworm" is a cool name, and fits the very cool image ^^
The whole pose is so good too, again it's not overdone, it's just a simple depiction of the creature, but not in a flat of boring way, it does look "alive". I love the turn of the neck in particular, not only is that fitting in showing off it's flexibility, but you've done it very well. The whole body looks perfectly proportioned, which is no mean feat for something entirely of your own design.
So yeah, a great design very well carried out! Top marks, I love this creature, and I'm so impressed at how nicely you've put it together. Restrained and realistic, a main aim of any fictional creature :D

aww thank you very much lvoe. I like him too. he's quitedifferent from myothers, still ahve quite afew mor to finish designs of. I like planning how they would actually work as creatures too. like the whole pores thing. and I wanted something without eyes so this came out. I'm proud of this one!
