Aleksei is a Borzoi (also known as a Russian Wolfhound). He's rather laid back, and keeps quiet unless he has something to say. He's based on another good friend of mine ().

Aleksei is a part of Charles' ship's crew. (He would like me to remind everyone that it's not actually his ship or crew, but since I have his perspective, that's how I describe it.) He's the ship's naviguesser. That basically means that he does what he can with math and things, but he's better at the guesswork of it. He never steers them wrong, but usually checks his charts and figures with Rosie just in case.

He wears a vest because he can, and shorts and no shirt because he's so bloody fluffy he doesn't need one. It gets hot under all that fur.
