This is Veridian, My necklace, well a reconstruction of one I made for myself Several years ago, I had replaced the Silver beads which badly tarnished and replaced the main bale wrap due to the old one getting badly dinged up due to wearing it through working out and basically living life.
The wolf Charm is a modified accent i gained from a necklace i bought from a small Native American shop during my stay in California for my first ever con Further confusion.
The original necklace lasted me for two years but sadly broke. While the mold for the wolf accent is commonly used in jewelry, I still loved it so much that i couldn’t just leave it in pieces in a small box. So i made my way to the nearest crafts shop, and bought the supplies needed to repair it...as such, my path as a jeweler was born.
I found many new concepts and ideas, and He (the charm) has been through many designs and repairs.
This version is prolly the most recognized by those who know me.
The Necklace consists of
Gem cut natural Emeralds,
Silver beads
Black marble beads,
Forest Emerald green glass beads with brass paint
Green Bloodstone beads
And Real wolf fangs.
Before I wore this necklace and affixed the Fangs to it, I prayed, meditated, and preformed a ritual to the spirit of the wolf/s that which the fangs came from so as to not insult the being. I also donate often to a local wolf sanctuary.
Emeralds are my favorite stone, they bare many metaphysical benefits, prosperity, protection, healing, and more legends one can count…to me they, feel right, speak to me in a way, much like some people favorite good luck charm or book. A real stone of Earth, and a real stone of Veridian.
Green Bloodstone. These stones are another of my favorites, known as a stone of Vitality and enduring. It was once believed the Red marking that adorn the stone was the blood of Christ and held magical benefits. This stone was good for grounding as well as aiding one to perceiver through ailments or physical hardship, a stone to never give up.
The accent is wrapped with Silver and Green dyed copper wire, the bale is shaped to mimic a very special and meaningful symbol that I wear as a tattoo on my inner right arm.
The Chi-Rho, a very special symbol to me, first used by the Roman emperor Constantine, it’s supposed to represent the first two letters in the word of Christ. While no, I am not a very Religious man, but my best friend is.
A light back history on an old legend
It was said during the time of Constantine as he was to march into a great battle, a battle with low supplies, low morale, 100 to 1 odds, essentially he stood no chance of winning. On the eve before the battle, Constantine prayed, meditated, and it was said he received a vision of sorts. In short it was said he saw this symbol and with it a message from what he believed was God, roughly transcribed “in this symbol you shall find victory” With that he took initiative and ordered this marking on all his men, weapons, supplies, horses everything they then road off into battle against all odd
They won that battle.
Now that isn’t the main reason I wear this marking, I wear it for my friend. My friend Rocho and I have been through a HELL of a lot together. He was always considered the leader of our group, known him forever. Then one day he met the girl whom he was to spend his whole life with, He was to move away to another state, none of us would prolly see him for a long time.
As one of his most loyal Friends and Best man to his wedding, I felt a gift was in order, so we went to a local Tattoo parlor and had them etch this symbol into his flesh, and seeing as how he was the leader of our group, he also allowed me the same honor.
They are markings of brotherhood, a bond and reminder of all the trial and tribulations we overcame in our past.
