I'm not too happy with how this first try turned out, (it's a bit lopsided imo and there's couple problem areas, I'll gnaw on them later, too sleepy now) but I liked working on this nontheless and I got back in touch with stone-carving!
I'll definetely try this again on larger piece once I find one, I think I need to visit the seashore with my dog and rummage around the shoreline's rocks and slabs of stone, I want to get those wings properly shown and maybe carve a scene where few of these jesters are flying and interacting with each other, or something. Or go symbolic and simplify the illustration of this species into cave painting-like doodle. Maybe. Perhaps.
My head feels like jello atm, sleep med kicking in, so I'll elaborate tomorrow if needed. And of course I'd like to hear your critique/ideas Spiral. :3

I have literally been in and out of consciousness for so long I don't even know what I'm doing anymore so I'm so sorry I must have freaking dreamed that I responded here.
I wanted to say that I absolutely adore this; I love every aspect of it and I think it turned out amazing!
When I can actually function again I will doodle up a simple scene or something you can go by for a larger piece if you want to practice carving more? I love love love how you've done this. I'd love to see a cave painting like rendition; that sounds pretty fantastic.
Thank you again so so so much for doing this for me; I wish I had my tablet so I could more easily help with ideas and such.
Give me a day or two and I'll send you a note with some ideas I had when I first saw this; I really don't know what happened, it's like I lost time or something wow.
One idea I know I had was putting some kind of white paint along the tail tip to show the glow since that would be a super prominent feature of the Jester race that anyone that was illustrating these guys would focus on. It would be a pretty neat idea I think.
I was super excited to see this in my inbox as I've been really really happy with this project idea since the start! I want to keep feeding you some ideas so; send me a note when you get this maybe? So I don't forget or just...flat out die or something. I don't want to forget again.

Aa it's ok! I'm constantly in and out of insomnia/mental fatique myself and while I'm on the internet every day, it may take weeks or me to answer something simple with a few words; I just suddenly notice a month has gone by or something when I thought it was just couple of days. So I can relate. Thanks for the input and glad you like it! ;_;
