"Okay. That's IT. I swear to Arceus, the next team of thugs whose getaway plan includes throwing a stick and yelling, 'fetch, boy!' is going to get their car tossed into a dumpster."
- Watchdog the Were-Arcanine (A.K.A. Cray)
I'm pretty crazy, as you might have noticed. Crazy enough that I have 7 named Arcanine characters, in fact- all of whom are capable of growing under various circumstances. And also crazy enough that I decided to get a sketch of each of them from the versatile artist
rabid, who I can only assume must want to never draw another Arcanine in his life after putting up with me!
This fellow here is the only one who I had not yet commissioned art of before, and one of the four who have not yet appeared in any stories I've written. He's also the smallest of my Arcanines in both default (6-7 feet) and maximum (21 feet) heights. He's kinda bigger than 21 feet here, but WOW I loved the way his paw and toes were smushing down on that car, so I decided to just assume this scene was the result of some kind of comic-book-style growth-related shenanigans. Or perhaps he's just been one of my characters for too long and just ended up growing because that seems to happen to ALL of my characters eventually. Who knows, who cares? It's awesome!
Cray is, as you might have guessed by the alias, a superhero. Originally, he was an ordinary everyday beat cop, patrolling the streets armed with nothing more than conventional firearms, a sense of justice, and a psychic-linked Kadabra partner named Phreya who hung out back at Police HQ and provided intel support. However, he gained the 'curse' of the were-Growlithe, and decided to take up the superhero business as a night job, masquerading as the 7'1" pillar of firepower, Watchdog. That went pretty well. Then a pair of supervillains threw him into (and through) a truck full of stolen evolution stones.
GEE I WONDER HOW THAT WORKED OUT FOR THEM.
Unfortunately for Cray, though, he didn't become COMPLETELY unstoppable; he's just moved up to a higher level of criminal. Whereas previously he only handled local threats and small/medium-time crooks, now he feels an obligation to use his new powers to fight against even the world-class bad guys who threaten his home city. Fortunately, he's generally been up to the challenge... So far.

...I instantly thought of the bit from Watchmen about the guy who became a villain just because he was a perv, and I'm thinking there's now a trend of repeat offenders in Cray's town.
"I have to be punished!"
"No! Quit trying to get me to step on you, you freak!"

As mentioned on the second line of the description, this image is copyrighted by Rabid under U.S. copyright law. You'll have to ask him if you're planning to do something with it, but if you are, I'd like to ask you (personally, without the force of copyright enforcement behind it) not to, please?
Wha...? No, you can't use the character as your own, why would you think you could?
I mean yeah you can design a character of your own who is an Arcanine superhero, but just directly copying everything off someone else's would just be rude and possibly illegal depending on how few changes you made. Doing it to steal a fursona for yourself would be extra-rude.

Okay, I may have come off a bit harsh there, sorry. It was just a bit of a shock to me that someone would ask.
If you want to create a large powerful Arcanine superhero, go for it. I'm not even the only person out there with a macro Arcanine superhero character. I'd just like to ask that you not use artwork I've commissioned to represent him, or his name, please. More Arcanines is more better, though, so hey.
