Mud, MUD, Mud! What more can I say, out there where I explored it was crawl worthy as I couldn't get a good footing one way or another as I kept getting bogged down! Gonna be fun this summer!

Stuck is where you get into the mud deep enough that you can no longer lift your legs from the mire, and every effort to do so meets in only sinking in deeper. So at that point it becomes crawl worthy, and crawling tends to yeild a slower sink but more ability to move freely as even though you sink you have more surface area and ability to get some 'traction' in the muck. You'll get dirtier but you'll get through it more easily too.
Ahh, just a few inches below my hips or so, and I did continue using the crawl method. Something I also use is a swimming kickboard that I press into the surface of the mud for support, it's useless for staying afloat as it won't support my weight in the mud, but it offers a stable platform of support, and its easily extractable from the surface of the mire. I used the crawl/swim/slide was more like it in this instance. :) Just be set to get dirty!
I doubt either of us would be too keen on video. I started a fursuit/mud suit ages ago, but never got around to finishing it sadly. That would be the only way you'd ever get vid of me mucking about. Pictures on the net are so tricky and somehow always seem to get back to people you don't want seeing them. Been there done that not gonna repeat that situation. Nuh auh! not gonna happen!
Its in the Northern part of Washington State, I'm not gonna say precicesly where, cause ya know I like /some/ privacy whilst mucking about, but if ya note me I'll tell ya about other places out and about that I've explored in my travels that I'm perfectly willing to share about.
This consistancy of mire was more on the way of a peaty to clay mixture with no sand or gritty scratchy particulate material. Its more enjoyable (to me) than some of the more 'tricky' quicksand types of material. I have worked with true quicksand in the past, but its not as relaxing as some of the more muddy types. Though all the same I always pack prepared.
Oh certainly. but as I mentioned I always pack with preperations in mind. Rope, floatation devices, even inflatable devices for first tries. I always come prepared. And I do also have a phone with me at all times, packed in an otter case so that it doesn't go sinky-sinky bye-bye
