This guy is based on a Fachen and a Bug Bear, both creature from Irish legend. A Fachen was known to attack travelers, torturing and then killing them and was covered with feathers. A bug bear is an English hobgoblin and used as a boogeyman toward children. This is my clashing of both, as bears went extinct in Scotland and Ireland prior to the medieval period.
