You posted a journal asking what we thought of art.

I like this, but I can't help but think that her feet look like they belong more on a reptile than a mammal. The humanoid look can work, but the arrangement of wrinkles, size, and meatiness of the feet suggests more male reptile than female mammal. Just my thought on the matter.

Maybe it due to the fact that I used to draw dragons and lizards feet ))

That'd influence it pretty good. They're nice feet to look at, but I just felt that they were a bit off with which character they belonged to.

Wow, I'm really surprised that this picture hasn't gotten more feedback. With how very many fans of the Robin Hood movie are in the furry community. But then, that's FA for you. It takes a bit to get traffic moving to your profile. Hmm but as far as the picture itself goes. I've got to say, you did a pretty fantastic job on a lot of things. Marian's posture and expression both feel very natural. And you even did a nice job of making the dress flow. Which can be a really hard effect to pull off.

Hmmm, I do see what Dragonicon was saying about the bottoms of the footpaws. Which I'll be the first to admit, look really damn nice. But I'm not sure if they completely fit the character. Which I think is largely due to them not having any paw pads. But considering that you really never saw the bottoms of her feet in the show. It's very much open for exploring. :)

On another note, I should probably mention that there's a lot of artifacting in the picture. Which probably means that whatever program your using might be set to a higher level of compression than need be. Would highly suggest checking into that before uploading anything else to FA. Or even reuploading your pictures at higher, uncompressed resolutions. Like I recently did. Because it can make a big impact on the way people view them.

Just took a peek at the link you gave. And yes, that looks much much better! Hmmm but you know, you don't have to compress files to upload them to Furaffinity right? The only thing Furaffinity requires is that you downsize the image to a resolution at or below 1280x800 or what not. And even then, you can still upload things at much higher resolutions. And just have the website automaticly scale the image to fit the browser window. Which gives people the option of refreshing most times and seeing the image at it's full, native size. Just something to think about. :)

But that aside, your not going to hear any real complaints from me about the paws. Being someone who's equally fond of human feet as the countless varieties of furry ones. ^.^

I feets so much (you too) it would so excellent and brilliant when you draw sometimes more plantigrade feets with 5 toes on the feet (and some pads)
