If one is to happen upon a drat first thing in the mor- er... first thing after it rouses from sleep, it's highly likely this would be the sight that would greet them. Notice the squinting, warding off the morning light from the eyes, wiping away the sleepiness, while giving that belly a good, soothing scratch while peering into the fridge for something to fill it.
As a side note, attempts to communicate with the drat may only be met with grunts or lazy gestures. A friendly, if cautious, pet or scratch may still be welcome, however, especially if coupled with the offer to take care of breakfast for him. This will be most assuredly met with eager affirmatives, including, but not limited to, nods, big dumb wordless grins, purring, and warm, elated bearhugs.
This lovely rendition is by none other than the fantastic
. She has quite the way with the big, fluffy fellas, and I just had to get her to draw the drat. I'm still practically squee'ing over it, it turned out so great. If ya haven't, pleeeease, go check out her gallery, wonderful, wonderful stuff there.
