May researches revaled that many people didnt died from the bullet that hit em, they died from the immense schock they had, due to the impact of the bullet etc your heart simply stops beating. Sounds wired, but its a fact. But it depends on many factors, like your physical and mental condition, what type of weapon is uesed and what caliber as well as bullet type.

Depends on where he lives. New houses are skimping on framing, but older houses would have had doubled 2x6 framing over and under a window, often with plywood makeup layers to get the thickness the same as the wall. That makes about 4" thickness, and with the makeup layers could be up to 6". A .45 will go through about 4.5 inches of white pine, so we'd have to hope he has stucco on the outside, or his house is framed with yellow pine (which is about twice as dense).

if I got the angles right. the bullet hit at an angle into the frame material, which gives it an extra inch or so to have to go through.

I was wondering about that myself. Even if the round hit a wooden window sill or support stud, it would easily go through stucco and plasterboard.

Well, since he's still feeling good enough to climb through the window, I'm going to assume he did NOT get shot, as the traumatized muscles would not have let him get though without crying in pain.

And if it were a gut shot, it would have hurt even more than a leg would when he started climbing.

Just for the record, Rumbolt lives in the northern USA, and his house is made out of reinforced concrete. Shacks made out of cheap wood and cardboard can only hold up in the southern, snow-fee states.
