Okay, so I started playing OFF, and I still don't know what the heck the game's about. For all I know, you are someone who goes by the name of The Batter, and the only place in which your entered name really matters is that the characters call you some "puppet master", so perhaps they're self-aware video game AI, kind of like the characters in Mogworld, which I also recently finished reading (or rather listening to, since I got the audiobook) Your job in the game is to purify the world, and you generally fight specters, sometimes called phantoms or ghosts, and you go through various different zones. It's style has a very eerie and unnerving atmosphere, but I wouldn't exactly call it a horror game yet. It puts me in mind of a complete acid trip mindfuck, but coherent, and it is generally fun to play, even if I still dread the Smoke Mines from Zone 1 because of those fuckingly irritating severed head enemies. (They put me in the mind of Castlevania's infamous Medusa Heads.)
So to explain the comic, I put Lucian in the Batter's shoes and garb, and greyscaled his natural colors for that OFF feel, where the only real colors are in the environments, while the characters wear a bleak black and white. Those two floating circles are called "Add-Ons", and are your other party members. At the moment, I have Alpha, who serves as primary offense, and Omega, my team doctor. The Batter himself kind of pulls double duty, so I consider him secondary offense and secondary doctor. Right now, I'm in a mall to purify some spirits (just as irritating of a maze as the Smoke Mines) and all of a sudden a fucking WHALE shows up. I shit you not, I fought a specter that was basically a fuckmothering whale. It wasn't hard to beat, but it had quite a bit of HP and just overall confused me. Finally, there's the dude in the mask; his name is Zacharie, and I dig him so far. Just like other things in OFF, he reminds me of something, in this case, Resident Evil 4's Merchant, who I remember really liking.
So yeah, so far, OFF confuses me, but is fun to play, and I feel like there's a deep meaning behind it. Don't spoil anything for me.
OFF is copyright to whoever.

I don't know why, but for some reason, OFF feels at least a little similar to Earthbound. At least due to the weirdness factor(not necessarily from an aesthetic view) and the fact that the main character is either a baseball player or interested in baseball. And judging just from your pic here, there must be a LOT of symbolism to be found here. I would try to play the game all the way through and come up with your own theories afterward, because this looks like something I'd play. Even if it gets kinda scary.
