He pulled away, but I longed for more. He smiled at me, "I know this might be weird....but I love you."
I love you. Three words I have never heard until now, "I love you to Spade." I purred.
Everything seemed so perfect...until the thought of going home after school...but Spade said he'd take care of it.
When I returned home, my little belongings had been packed by someone, and there was an officer talking to the people I lived with.
I smiled when I heard the officer yelling at them for something called child abuse or whatever, I didn't hear.
I saw Spade in his room, finishing packing his things,
"I talked with the officer, and he says you can come and live with me...if you want that is."
I could tell he was trying to hide his egarness.
That night I got to move in with Spade. You might think it was dumb, but I wasn't passing up a chance to get out of there.
That night I slept with Spade, curled up close.
His arms wrapped around me under the warm blanket.
Spade gave me a kiss good night before he fell asleep,
I snuggled into him, purring before I finally closed my eyes, drifting into a wonderful sleep.
But escaping my problems wasn't so easy... And I was about to find out which ones I couldn't escape...even with Spade by my side.
