OldSchoolSkunk feat Mic the Microphone One Trick Pony-Remix
Hip Hop Alert!!
Ok this time its not FORENSIC...
Its a remix of a Pony Rap.... *What the h..*
Yeah... JackleApp and Mic the Microphone's "One Trick Pony"
Nope not flippin' the script and goin' Brony...
I was checking out their music scene..
And I have to admit the talent they have in their fandom to
create remixes of songs from the show material to create new
sounding material is impressive.
A link to the .wav file of an acapella vocal version was in the YouTube video was listed so I thought I give that a shot.
Also some character voices are in this track courtesy of
MLP:FIM Soundboard V8.4 by kyrospawn of Deviant Art.
Pinkie Pie Twilight Sparkle Rarity Spike
So yep anyway I hope some of you like this .... I had some fun with it.
Original track is approximately 85 BPM
This remix 95 BPM and music prod <me>

You'd be surprised haha. I can't rightly blame you for disliking the better majority of the fans, especially considering that it's always the loudest voice that is heard as opposed to the sane majority. Moreover, it's beyond frustrating for a lot of the musicians within the fandom that try to branch out and do other kinds of music outside of pony stuff because their fanbases tend to be narrow-minded when it comes to their own tastes (The infamous, "NOT PONY DON'T CARE LOL" schpeel that every musician in this fandom has heard at one point or another). So again, I don't blame you in the slightest.
As far as my music is concerned, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I'm not very good at this whole thing, though I've improved considerably since this song was put out in like.... early 2012 if I recall correctly? That said, I do this as more of a hobby as opposed to a career. If I tried to make it in this industry, I'd be eaten alive. I get that. No way in hell would I be able to compete with anyone in the industry on any level whatsoever, mostly because I just don't have thick enough skin for it and I lack the skill to pull it off. However, for what I do right now? I'm enjoying it. I'm not really concerned with trying to turn any heads with my stuff, I'm just focusing on doing something I enjoy. As for this particular song? I absolute hate it for a plethora of reasons (Referring to the original track, not this one in particular), not least of which is the fact that the lyrics, flow and rhyme scheme are crap beyond reasonable belief.
As far as being an emcee goes, I do this because I enjoy what I do. It's not everyone's cup-o-tea for the content alone, and moreover it's beyond lackluster when compared to the work of many other artists, but all the same, I enjoy doing it. The better majority of bronies definitely have a very skewed view on what is "good" music, but at the end of the day I'm doing this because I enjoy it. If other people like it, that's honestly a bonus for me.

haha, I knew you felt like this, and didn't have a ego about it.
As far as the fans go, a lot of them turned into brony rappers and look up to you, resulting in a TON of clones that copy your delivery but can't even rap on time. The part that bothers me is that they don't even like hip hop or study the artists that really elevated the craft, they just sound like other brony rappers. The ones l really think are different and actually like hip hop and are improving are Yelling At Cats and Rhyme Flow.
And what's with the whole "Im an up and coming brony rapper trying to make it" where are they going with that? Do they mean make it in hip hop??

I certainly hope not. A lot of the musicians that are up and coming in this fandom are trying to make music for the sake of usurping an established musician from their spot for the sake of "fame" (And I use that term VERY loosely). As such, their music is typically uninspired from what I've seen, resulting in stuff that falls horrendously short of the marks set by those before them. Ultimately if people in this fandom are trying to "make it", as they put it, their best bet is to start out elsewhere. The attention the MLP Fandom gives to musicians of a certain quality is borderline detrimental to their growth unless they're actually dedicated to improving outside of pony stuff. The problem is that major mega-fans will latch on to songs and kiss ass if it is JUST pony. I REALLY don't like that.
Ultimately, I look to improve, but this is still just a hobby for me. I'm more interested in enjoying the process than trying to be a blockbuster or some crap. There's no point, ya know?

I've gained a lot of respect for you with this conversation, you got your head on straight and have a great attitude, a lot of the "up and comers" would think they're the shit if they were in your position.
I feel the same way, if Im making a beat or writing rhymes, l do it because it's fun, NOT for the fame.

Honestly, getting to how I am now came with a lot of trial, error, and mistakes. I used to be a pretentious cockbag. I used to think I was the shit for something as fucking pointless as a number on a Youtube account or garnering recognition from a massive amount of people within a small sub-section of the internet. I did act like a fucking moron, and honestly I recognize that. With attention comes a great deal of criticism though, both justified and uncalled for. Not everyone will like what you do, regardless of your reasons for doing things. It got to a point where was alienating people because of my ego. I didn't -like- that. Eventually I just stepped away, took a break and re-evaluated why it is I do what I do. I started doing this because it was a ton of fun. Then it turned in to some contest for fame, which was the worst decision I made with my work.
However, if I had to do it over? I wouldn't change anything. Reaching this end result in the way that I did helped me in such a big way that I wouldn't trade it for anything. If you have something you love and are passionate about, do it. Hobby or no, if it brings you joy then keep at it. That's pretty much what I'm trying to follow now.

Thank you very much!! I just like finding material to try my style of music production on. I've listened to a few of your tracks... seem like you're havin' fun doin' what you're doin' I would have posted this earlier to your account but it didn't seem like you were that active on FA so when someone else faved this it reminded just to put it there to see what you thought of it. This response was quite unexpected!
Naw. I'm not active in terms of posting, but I check this thing every day. I keep in touch with a few buds on here, so I'm always keeping an eye out. :'D I have so many tracks that I still need to upload to Youtube. I'm honestly just lazy though. *shrug* Glad you had fun doing this though! :D It turned out great!
