Both of the fox dens I've been paying attention to are culverts.
they don't seem to mind my presence as long as I stay about 50 feet away.

Their eyes refract so much light!
I took a photo with my cell phone once in daylight and the flash was still manually on, and I got glowing eyes.

of all the mammals they have some of the strongest night vision.
they were moving freely while I couldn't see them, only their movement.
Their hearing also helps them at night.
