Wow I almost thought this was a photo of a miniature, like a diorama or something. That's a great painting technique and you really do a killer job with the lighting as well.

Long story short: After the Gene Wars, genetic engineering became tightly controlled. Chakats and Stellar Foxtaurs were the only projects approved by the government.
