The Úlfhéðnar were berserkyr warriors who assumed a lupine form, being overtaken in a bloodlust and unstoppable by mortal weapons, in Norse mythology. The name comes from the old norse words for "wolf" and "skin/pelt," due to the wulfen aspect they assumed in their rage.
