I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm really proud of this one. The pose, detail, background, color, shading... everything. The weird part is, I have no idea where it came from. I don't mean "I had a sudden flash of inspiration and it was done in one night," I mean I came back from an unwitting hiatus, and when I came back, I saw this in the clipboard I keep everything in. It wasn't done, nor plush, and in fact, all it had was the left leg, with not even an identifying mark as to which pokemon it was. My only guess is that it was a plan for my next project (which will be massive). And it turned into what is, what I consider, my best work yet. The background was a brainfart; in fact it wasn't even drawn, simply added in post production. The idea was that this poor sap was coming home from doing whatever in his backward and doesn't notice a strange black puddle on his deck. On that note, I've arbitrarily decided he has OCD, for some reason. Now he'll have to deal with folds for the rest of his life. Well, more so than usual. On the upside, He'll never have to worry about leaving a fingerprint smudge again. If I were to give one criticism, I would have to say the proportions were off; they make it seem like he will be significantly taller afterwards, more so than taller feet and ears would account for, which was not what I intended.
