PCA Exams: Team Driller Vs Team Meanies
Jennifer smirked to herself as the match started. Deftly, she darted forward, opting to start off with a more physical approach. She attacked with a series punches, but held back on the power and speed. She wanted to give Stuart enough time to dodge or block her attacks, after all, it wouldn‘t be any fun if the match ended too early. For now, she was content to appear like the ekans and merely go through the motions of a battle.
She moved gracefully around the ekans as she attacked, her body weaving and bobbing as if she was dancing to music that only she could hear. To the audience, it appeared that she was merely toying with the serpent. In essence, she was. The buizel doubted that anyone was noticing the dark gray clouds that were forming in the rafters overhead, least of all Stuart.
“Will you stop moving around so much?” complained the ekans. “It’s a bother.”
Jennifer smirked again, slightly. “But it’s so much fun,” said playfully, still weaving and dancing around the ekans. “Besides, the fun part is about to begin.”
Stuart gave an exasperated sigh. He just wanted to end this match so he could go back to his smokes. He began to lethargically slither towards the dancing, twisting, and prancing buizel. He’d only gotten a few feet when he felt something prick his tail, like a cold needle or something similar. This was soon followed by a series a similar pricks, like his tail was starting to fall asleep.
A low murmur came from the sidelines. On the Team Driller side, Kody and Gabrielle nodded to each other and moved farther back from the ring while Anthony and Karen looked around in confusion. Another murmur came from the crowd. Many had finally noticed the rain clouds that had formed overhead.
“What..?” started Stuart, but he was cut off as the prickling sensation increased to pelting as the light rain that had started intensified. Within seconds it had become a full fledged downpour that was focused over the ring.
Although mildly annoyed by the rain, Stuart remained stoic looking. He looked around to see if he could locate Jennifer, but failed. The buizel had completely vanished. He blinked a few times, jacket and hair plastered to his frame. Now he was slightly confused. Had she left the ring? Maybe she had just gotten bored and forfeited.
Vice-principle Perjan apparently thought the same thing. From under the shelter of an awning, he had raised a hand, preparing to announce Stuart as the winner. He didn’t get the chance to.
A low rumbling sound caught all their attention as the ground began to shake. After a few seconds, the ground in front of Stuart erupted in a jet of water. The ekans reeled back from the sudden geyser in surprise. The ground began to rumble again and a second geyser of water erupted from the ground under the snake‘s scales.
He found himself shot into air, riding on top the jet of water. His yell of surprise was joined by female yell of exhilaration.
Jennifer had shot out from underground, hidden in the second geyser. She gave a whoop of excitement as the twin pillars of water merged into one giant wave and began to descend rapidly towards the ground.
Stuart found himself lying on the crest of the wave, his body slightly rigid and fear began to course through his body. A giggle caught his attention followed by a sudden weight landing on his back, forcing him to ride the wave even faster towards the ground.
Jennifer a yell of excitement as she used the ekans as her own personal surfboard, guiding him towards the ground. She grinned madly as she rode the wave, pushing off the ekans and leaping into a back-flip. Landing in a crouch as she watched Stuart slam into the ground and skip a few times before finally coming to a halt at the ring edge.
Perjan waited a few seconds, waiting to see if Stuart would get up. When it became apparent that the ekans was out cold, he announced the winner.
“Stuart Shedskin is unable to continue!” He exclaimed. “The winner of this match is Jennifer Marine!”
