Actually, I've done a bit research. Apparently, A gargoyle can in fact be anything from a dragon to an angel spitting water.
The problem with this gargoyle, however, is that it looks too ALIVE. It looks more like flesh and bone than it does stone ( a RYHME.

If I were you I would get rid of the bits that make it look like muscle. Ans instead add cracks, chips, dents, And even a little moss that would give it a more stone like appearance (but not a STONED appearance, we don't EVER need stoned gargoyles...)

This one's actually alive; it's someone's character, and my artistic license only extends as far as their parameters allow. I'm definitely thinking of doing more things in this vein though, that'll contribute to architecture in upcoming projects.

It is good advice though, and I thank you for the input. As said, I'm gonna apply it to future projects. It's rare that people give me feedback even when I ask for it.

Oh, not at all. I understood what you meant by the skin bit, but failed to convey a good response. I'd asked initially if she wanted it to look like flesh or stone, and she'd opted for the former.

She's asked to remain anonymous, as this is a secret alt. As for whether or not it's a gargoyle, I'd still leave that up to a matter of continuity. Names change hands and meanings with time and culture; simply predating something isn't solid ground anymore in this progressive age.
