Alternate Title: Real Gnolls Use Pantene Pro-V
RP droodle! :D Yayers! This turned out quite well- nice enough for inking, anyhow (well, except for the lower half of the elfling. Yeah, I don't want to ink that until it looks less like a blob). The digitizing is a new style I tried out, cellshading-ish.
So, Tahv and Teik have been welcomed as guests by Remere, the half dragon who never actually showed up in the last drawing. He's not here, either. Remere is a warlord, and he just made a lovely raid on the village of some rather undefended elves. In a wonderful stroke of luck for him, the youngest prince (and esquire) happened to be on diplomatic duty there as well. Remere lost two of his men, but he gained a scrumptious little elf-prince who will be worth his weight in diamonds. Anyhow, Tahv found herself rather happy to taunt and torment the gnoll-hating bratling (and not eat him, because Remere thoughfully provided lunch). She was discussing with Tremere considering (loudly, in the elfling's presence) whether it would too large a social faux pas to chop off one of his ears and send it to his father as a present, or if he should simply find out the news that his son was a hostage via word of mouth.
Anyway, the little salamander is Ka'lyk, her 'familiar', for want of a better word, and his name means "Havoc" in the common tongue. He's a fire salamander, and like any good salamander he is capable of spontaneously igniting himself, though he usually refrains from doing so when he is sitting on someone’s shoulder, as he knows that this is bad manners and usually causes much disturbance.
The bone cross she carries is a mark of her status, a clerical symbol, one might say. Tied to it are a nine little mementos of major, powerful enemies she’s killed on there (even though I totally skimped and only drew five. Sometime I'll draw just that with all of them.) The thing on the top left is a ring from an elven sorcerer (I know it's impossible to see it. Work with me), and the one on the bottom left is the mummified foot of a goshawk who was the familiar of another gnoll shaman (a nasty brute she had a huge personal greivance against). Next to it a feather that a human warrior wore in his hair, and above and the to the right is the fang and claw of a Kyireen, a raptor-like race. (His two big claws and lots of small claws and teeth are the things on her left calf. She was too fond of pointy things to just let them rot). And just right of that is the braid from a wererat assassin.
The demonling skull on her glaive is filled with glass beads and she likes to rattle it. :)
I know there are gross anatomy errors'n'stuff. ;___; I know. Also, she's supposed to look very masculine. Gnolls genders are hard for non-gnolls to tell apart. I mean, think about hyenas- talk about gender confusion! Females have pseudo-penii!
