Hey look, I finally finished a thing. :B

This is for shotgunvalentine on deviantArt. She asked me for some sort of otter, so I made her an otter butterfly! I loved the idea right from the beginning but, unfortunately, it didn't like me so much. I had to go through a bunch of designs, thumbnails and 3-4 sketches before I finally landed on this sketch here. In retrospect, I'm super happy that I stuck with it and didn't settle for one of the earlier sketches or designs. The earlier sketches and designs were all really weak. >.>

I was going to make this flat-colored, but it turned out to be pretty boring. I instead decided to try out a digital watercolor tutorial that DimeSpin linked to a couple of months back. Believe it or not, this picture really is 100% digital. It was super fun to loosen up and make a messy picture for once. I might use this style again for future sketches.
