(even i find this guy both cute and creepy...)
Twitch the White Rabbit Has been up for the last six days... we're not exactly certain what he's on, but someone should probably take those jelly beans away...
This is a hand sewn fabric doll with basket and 'eggs'. He is the fifth line of dolls I have designed, and the first of his series. The body is an off white, textured upholstery fabric with pale pink construction stitching to match the pink velour inside his ears. Doll rates surface wash only (wipe gently with damp cloth to remove dirt). The material is somewhat frayed around the seams for a shabby, well loved look- but I assure you I have checked these seams for durability. Facial details are hand embroidered, ears are fully pose-able. His eyes are small, mismatched green and blue buttons and his brightly colored bow is grosgrain ribbon. Right paw features blue and purple fleece patch.
His fuzzy tail was created by covering a hole in his back with netting and pulling filling through. My goal is to use my shop to increase Autism awareness, so I have used the colors of the Autism Awareness ribbon (red, yellow and blue) together to mark his name and release number (Twitch I). Twitch the White Rabbit is 17 inches from the tip of his ear to his toes, 11 across from arm to arm. As he is made of soft construction, he will require a doll stand to stand up, but he sits upright just fine if he has something to lean against.
His props include a crochet basket (using basket weave, of course) which is stuffed with green yarn 'grass' and 12 colored 'eggs' made from clay. Twitch is packaged in a seasonal 'body bag' with 'toe tag'. This tag correlates to the name and number on your doll and is your certificate of authenticity. They provide name of doll, series number, release number, date your specific doll was completed and my art signature.
This doll is the first of its kind. It will not be the last of this series, but it will be the only one exactly like the doll you see in these pictures (it is the doll in these pictures! lol). Eyes, features... small changes will be ongoing as I make more of these dolls. Is there something about this doll that you would like to customize? Send me a message- I would love to work with you to make the perfect doll for you or someone you love!
This doll is not recommended for children under 3 years of age as button eyes may come off and pose a choking hazard. The 'eggs' are also small and candy colored and could pose a problem if inhaled or ingested. The eggs are glued to the grass, but this is no guarantee that a determined young child wanted to eat them. If you would like to customize a doll to make it child safe, please contact me and we will work out a plan!
Special thanks for doll body pattern go to Brandy from http://www.etsy.com/shop/Brightdarklingart. She is a brilliant and talented young artist who has allowed me to use this pattern for mayhem. Costume designs and patterns are of my own creation.
