Furnal Equinox 2012 - Day 3
She is certainly of the most awesome artists I have encountered at the convention!
Here is Gishi... Er... Gish... Gishkashi... Gadzooks... Um.. Gishgosh... Ah...
Her name's Bernice Gordon. You can find her on FA here:
I attended her Character Design 101 panel, and she introduced me to some very important discoveries and details about basic design. For instance, she made me realize that Samurai Jack isn't made up of lines at all; only shapes! I know! I couldn't believe it either! It was a very interesting panel!
After her panel was done, I kindly asked for her to critique my character concept art of my fursona, and she was more than happy to suggest a couple of design ideas. To this day, I barely remember any. I wish she could tell me what she suggested again. I mean, I do remember her suggesting to make my fursona's mane look like actual fire, but that's about it. I'd be happy to experiment with some design elements if I knew exactly what she recommended. :embarassed:
It was a pleasure attending her panel, and it was very lovely meeting her at the con as well! I hope to see her at FE again!
I have taken a break from posting artwork - much less drawing any artwork - to post photos of my experiences from two years of an amazing con:
.
This was my first-ever furry convention that I went to, and I'm glad I did. Seeing a convention on YouTube is one thing, but actually being part of a convention up-close is a way better experience. Now I'm hooked!
