Oh gawd, need to force that horrible eye down from my front page as soon as possible.
This is a really old snippet - the first one ever written, in fact, way back in the fall last year. It's also the shortest out of all of them by far (I won't be surprised if you'll be able to see the whole thing on the screen without even having to scroll down when it's submitted), which is why for a long time I'd been uncertain about posting it because I didn't think it was long enough to be worth it. At the same time, this is also the truest to how the snippets were originally meant to be, just a single scene with minimal stuff going on, essentially what amounts to a short description of something, like the writing equivalent of a picture.
As for the story itself though, this was supposed to be a scene from one of the very first ideas for a story I had when I tried to get into writing things here, but it ended up falling through. The characters involved in it have changed a lot since then so I don't think there's any way of doing it over, but this scene in particular always struck out to me for reasons that are probably obvious. It's sort of written from the point of view of one of the two main characters, who doesn't really say anything and is mostly only a focal point for seeing what happens.
Pokemon and Milotic are owned by Nintendo/Gamefreak.
Characters are my own creation.
No I don't really know what lotus flowers actually smell like.
There's kind of suggestiveness here but I'm not really sure if it's enough to warrant a mature rating.

Its hard for me to believe this was the first snippet you wrote. It's so good! I mean its short, but it easily achieves the purpose of describing a gorgeous milotic woman. It's not that when I read this, I can easily see her and revel in her beauty, its that the image drew itself in my mind without me trying! Microfiction really is a beautiful thing!
I still feel that this is one of the most perfect things I've ever written - perhaps in part exactly because it's short so there's no worry about the narrative stumbling over itself - because it captures the image of this moment exactly as it appears in my mind so vividly. This had been the original intention behind writing shorter stories, or "snippets" as I call them, to have character pieces that described a single moment, but they quickly became more complex and started to take up more time all the same. The closest I've been able to get to this was with Ξενία (the original, shorter, non-porn one). Still though, I always like rereading this one every now and then, and I'm glad you enjoy it too. -n-
