So here's more or less the old doodle that settled the design for my avatar/fursona. :P Amaru the blue cat was born sometime around 2000 in Furcadia and later evolved through various phases as went from game to game, recreating him, searched for my own art style and explored the furry community still new to me.

This doodle was drawn nearly three years ago and colored digitally for use on a forum. I got attached to it and it has since then been a template for my various iterations of Amaru. The clothes are somewhat inspired by what I wore during a previous summer trip to Nice, on the french south coast. :3 The yellow tail tip is the result of a lively e-conversation with a certain canadian catgirl who used a bucket of yellow paint as argument. As for the blue fur pattern, well, I'll admit I have a fetisch for most things blue. =^.^;=
