Well, here's another rendition of Amaru, this time in Second Life. :3

For the backstory, when I first entered Second Life a couple of years ago I found my way around most furry communities (still rather small and scattered at that time) but found the lack of existing feline avatars a bit frustrating. There were basically no free feline avatars at that time and the commercial ones were to... handsome for the housecat that I wanted to be. :P So I looked up available free avatars to see if I could quickly modify one for my own use.

It is Kithylin Perth's "free" Arctic Fox AV that I found most suiting and modified it progressively to what my avatar is today, basically laying down my characteristic face model, blue hues and overall everyday housecat looks. =^.^;= Sometime along the way I got in contact with Kithylin Perth to thank him/her for the very usefull Arctic Fox AV and as a thanks we agreed on me giving my further my modification as a base for a free feline AV.

And that is basically how the "free" House Cat AV came to be. Kithylin Perth kept the head design and fur pattern (for those wondering about the little blue cat logo on the left side of the chest, it is a tatoo Amaru somehow got in Furcadia and that happens to be located at the same place I have a birthmark ;P... and now don't go asking me how a tatoo would be visible through the fur XD), redesigned the paws and tail, produced a black and a white variation of the original blue one and today i see various (normal, mini...) "free" House Cat avatars a bit everywhere, which pleases me as I hope they got useful to others in search of free feline avatars and maybe even specifically housecat avatars. :3

As for me, I mainly kept my old model modification, redesigned the fur texture slightly, bought a new tail that i modified to fit with the old style, designed some rags to wear on my wanderings and... well, I can't say I've been an active Second Life citizen but I have seen my share of interesting places and people. :3

On this photo I am resting by a bench near my favorite beach and club. =^.^= I haven't been around much lately with studies and work somewhat adding to my already quite active furry, otaku and gamer life, and every time I log in I see so many changes having occured that I feel like I have been sleeping under a prim for years. XD But it feels nice that this beach, its soothing atmosphere, its slow waves, its seagulls, its crackling bondfires and its cool and inviting club has always been there. X3

I guess Amaru Murakami is a very nostalgic housecat. =^.^;=
