15 years ago, I got the best little yorkie puppy. He jumped right over the other puppies and stared me right in the eyes. I knew he was the dog for me.
A few weeks after bringing him home he fell ill with Parvo Virus. The vet told us there was a 10% chance he'd survive. When we left the vet, we thought that was the last time we'd see him.
The doctor called us the next day and said he had made a full recovery, which was unheard of. I knew then he was something special.
He became my best friend and my brother. We shared the best and worst of times and he was always my perfect pup.
He just recently passed away, and my mom told me of his passing right after I graduated college. The last time I saw my dog was back in February. I told him I loved him and he kissed me goodbye.
I'l never forget my puppy. I hope he's having a blast up in Heaven.
I love you Max, and I miss you so much. RIP.

Each life lost is a memory gained. I firmly believe that we are all placed on this earth to accomplish one thing. None of us know what that task is, yet when it's completed, we are called to move on.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you on the loss of your beloved Max. There is no such thing as closure for anyone that has lost a loved one, only the fact that the present grief, will eventually turn into happy and sweet memories. Time heals all wounds; yet we never forget. When we forget, their life and the way they lived, no longer has any value. Don't ever let the happy or even the sad memories slip away. Once memories dissolve, so does the meaning of the life!
Love each other unconditionally and care about your whomever touches your life, no matter what he or she believes personally! Do an act of kindness for someone that you don't even know as a way to honor someone or something that you have lost. They will just think you are a great person!
Challenge each other to be better people and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you each and every day; for tomorrow, they may not be here!

Just cried so hard to this. Thank you for these kind and wise words hun, they mean a lot. It makes me feel so warm and good inside knowing I have friends like you. And I'll do my best to let all my loved ones know how much they mean to me every day.
Thanks hun, and much love to you. I know you're busy in the summer but I'd love to see you someday, even just to grab a snack and catch up!

I'm not really all that great in these situations because there isn't a whole lot I can really say. I recently lost my pup too & in a bad way. You're very lucky to have such a close bond with your pup & that you have such fond memories and by what you have said, I can see that he had an awesome owner like you :3 Take care Nexus, Take care Max.
