These types of dogs are wonderful creatures. We have two Scottish Deerhounds and they're just so gentle and placid. I'm sorry to hear you lost him, I know it hurts to lose a pet. We lost one of our dogs to cancer about three years ago. I hope you have fantastic, wonderful memories of him, because they're what count now ^^

I'm very sorry for your loss...on 4/16 I made the same decision for my German Shepherd...she was 12 years old and very sick. I was with her the whole time so that she could begin her journey home knowing that I loved her.

Dont hold any of the emotions in...you will find yourself healing alot faster if you just let yourself grieve and cry as you need to.

The breed has a 8 to 10 year life expectancy, must most pass by 5 with cancer, which we are pretty sure is what he had just no vet could find it.

You have my condolences my dear. He has the expression of a wonderful gentle giant.

My heart goes out to you in this time of need i am still realing over my dog i had to put down a month ago....... hugs
