Well, was my father's Birthday recently and he loves golf... so I made him a birthday cake themed around it.

I made the cake lime flavored and decorated with buttercreme.

The bottom is just a round cake, the top is a cake baked in a round mold designed for 3D cake balls. I just used half of it though and placed it atop after icing it. I used the big end of a chopstick to make the dimples and used my grass tip (That I finally recently replaced... yay I can make fur now!) to make grass around the edges.

I learned a lot in working with this though about icing a sphere, and I'll do a LOT better next time. I made it a little to thin in the icing, next time will be better. That thinness of the icing made it so some spotty parts happened.
