Hmm... I can see the beak / highlights in it OK....
Just for the heck of it, what happens if you bring the brightness levels up on your monitor a little? Can you make out the highlights? (I had a bum monitor before - then didn't calibrate the new one for a while... might be that... 'course a nearly-all-black character design IS tough to make out sometimes too.)
