As a big SWAT Kats fan, I honestly found Mayor Manx to be WAY too out of character. He cares more about golfing and winning his elections than anything else.

A lot of my SWAT Kats' fanfics tend to do that. For the sake of argument, let's just say the mayor lost it.

It honestly felt like it was Leo talking and acting that way rather than laid back Mayor Manx I know from the cartoon, that's for sure.

Hannah: Indeed. Not to mention some countries and cities have to modernize because of pressure from other countries along with tourism. Our country Lebanon has always been a tourism magnet since the Greeks once conquered us. So we have to modernize because we have no choice. Not to mention the former conflicts with Israel.

Daemon: Perhaps Mayor Manx should've took some time off in my country Greece where people don't use technology; except for job-related purposes and whatnot. Maybe some minor advertising here and there.

Avon: Well he's an idiot. Back in Belgium, we do allow advertising but we don't allow sweepstakes. We Belgians see sweepstakes as an unethical form of marketing. Anything can go wrong in a sweepstake and you never know the fine print in their contracts.

Callie: Of course he's an idiot; he made me do all the paperwork while he spent all that time on the golf course.

Super C: You don't suppose Bendraqi hypnotized him, do you?

Callie: I hadn't thought of it.

Leo: It's possible. We'll investigate that; you continue with your role now that you're actually the mayor.

Callie: Will do.

Technically speaking, Mayor Manx was just a face in the public office. While he did hold the mayor's position every year, It was Callie who did all the paper work and made the final decisions (as shown in the Metalicats origin episode). She was more the mayor than Manx ever really was. She only "bowed" to his whim when in the public eye. Sorry, I get technical with everything.

And since I'm being honest… I really don't like the fanfic. I try to be open minded and read them without being biased to believing that it's the same world as the Swat Cats, but it's just bad writing. They're all decent Ideas, I guess, but they're just not executed properly. I know that it's the one thing that most fan fiction writers don't want to hear, but I'm only saying it because I feel it could be better. If I didn't have people tell me that once in a while I don't think that I would have improved as much as I have (My writings still bad without my partner's contributions, but that's beside the point.)

You're not the only one who has told me that, as it happens. You also aren't the only one that has mentioned just how horrible quality the writing is. I just hope I have better quality in my original stories.

To give you some background, I wrote the fanfics I wrote of SWAT Kats, Biker Mice From Mars, Mighty Mouse, Danger Mouse, Star Fox, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa from 2008-2011, and since 2011 I've been focusing on my original works which have pictures attached to them (the white lion, my fursona, Cripto, the cowboy silhouette, etc.). I guess I got stuck in a rut.

And many of these fics get the characters way out of character.

As starting to show my likeness towards the SWAT Kats series, I don't think I would certainly like the idea of having all modern technology banned in the city. if I was walking with my Nintendo 3DS, The Police cats would come and beat me to a pulp, because what I'm doing is "illegal."

I wonder if Mayor Manx has learned his lesson after that 2-year imprisonment. Besides.....And that snare drum was nowhere near cursed, was it?

I had regretted this ever since I wrote it. Mayor Manx has learned his lesson; yes. And everything's been repealed, so it would be safe to walk with your 3DS, and it would be no big deal.

Really? How wonderful! At least now I can take pictures of the nature of the city!

Yes.

And at least the skies are not Scarlet red anymore either. Now they are bright blue, as normal.
