I've had such a terrible music block with this song and doubtlessly it'll continue into the summer. I really want to get it done because I'm tired of working on it, but I'm bad at lyrics and just composing this kind of music ahahagh. Subpar plastic soul presented by a Mexican for and about Mexicans(serious).
The song is an internal monologue held by a teenage Mexican boy who's central to one of those krazy koolaid kults. He's the "messiah" and he gets everything he wants. He falls in love with this girl who sees the good, colorful man that must surely be locked inside him tight and his resolve breaks and suddenly he just doesn't know what to think anymore. It's her or his faith.
