The storm we had last week was the worst we have had since 1978, and I remember that one! (Yes, I am ancient!) I was up plowing until 10:30 PM last night, and we ended up with 4 inches in the flats and 8 inch drifts on top of what we have. And 3 more coming tomorrow. I have nowhere left to push it around the house! It is starting to get real tiring...
I wonder what I'm going to remember twenty years from now... its strange to think...
"I remember a time when you wanted to see a movie, you had to actually have a copy of it on DVD, none of this 'instant demand' shit, and when you wanted to take a shit, you had to actually wipe your own ass, back when a can of soda only cost you 50 cents.... you fucking kinds, with your virtual reality, and short hair."
I think its cool to be old, it would give you perspective that youth simply cannot enjoy. I wish I had lived through the eighties, so I could be like "remember those ugly outfits".

Actually, you want bad outfits, I grew up during disco! I had a denim leisure suit! Although to this day I still think Olivia newton John is hot! And I still have a pair of light platform shoes hanging around....and soda was only a quarter, 10 cents when I was 7....I thought it was terrible that my first car burned premium gas, and it cost me 48 cents a gallon!
Bravo! You and me both! The cheapest gas that I can remember was 18.9 while I was driving across Oklahoma on my way back from a west coast SF con in the 60s. I once had a 1964 Buick convertible with an aluminum 300 CID V-8 NASCAR racing engine with a 13.5 to one compression ratio that would burn rubber in second gear - with a Hydramatic! Damn good handling, too.
