Hmm... I think the steam locomotive could outrun the mecha, as long as it doesn't fly, but I suspect any rails the mecha steps on would need some MAJOR repair work, if not replacement. Mecha tend to be heavy, and that much weight in one spot would probably bend some iron in ways not intended. ;)
