So, this is a response to a particular poem written by  kiamakrai, and I really should know better than to write "response poetry," because it doesn't work. But, by the time I was done, I thought it almost stood on its own. And hell, nobody's reading my stuff expecting highly polished ground-breaking originality.

Incidentally, I don't know Kiamakrai well, so I've no idea if they're male or female, the dragon in the poem is, just because I've liked the idea of female dragons for a long time.
