Nicely written. This captures many of the same reasons I enjoy walking and woodlands.

Was the gender change at the end intentional? (he->she) I attributed it perhaps to the magical light of the sun, perhaps a transformation during sleep, but it seemed somewhat unimportant to the character.

I'm not sure what it was due to myself. Maybe it was a dream.

A very enjoyable read...or at least it would be if the main character didn't remind me of myself and how my life has been such a disappointment and a failure. Also, the whole transformation part confused me. Did the character not know that he(she) had changed? Because he/she seems to act like nothing happened and carries on like normal. But the character is aware of the change because "she" consciously identifies herself as an armadillo. The transformation part of a bit confusing and didn't feel very convincing to me. But maybe I'm just stupid and missing something obvious.

You're not stupid, it's just this isn't a story. It's an idea that could be a story. If I chose to pursue it, everything would be better explained. Maybe I will.

An enjoyable read - you've certainly got an idea with potential there. I shared a little of HeavenSteed's confusion, but I'm sure that would go away if the episode you describe here was set in the context of a longer story, with the opportunity to get to know your main character better. The choice of name was a good one, can be applied to both male and female characters.

An armadillo *and* a sex change! That's an unusual transformation if ever there was one. I am intrigued!

Oh I've got the full story now in my head. It's ironic to me that this is the piece that's gotten the most comments (Since it isn't a story), but such is life.

Yeah the gender change just kind of popped into my head. I figured since this was an exercise I could practice a shift in or of the perspective and see how I could make it work. In this case I wanted to see if I could change the gender and make it occur naturally, or as naturally as this story would allow.

Anyway, I know I've got something good if I can get it perfect. My full idea involves gender change, sleeping pills and a panther-taur riding on a bike. Clearly this will be awesome.
