The most amusing part was that was stock for the adventure; there we going to be two enemy thri'kreen hiding in the bushes ready to ambush us no matter what. The fact that the thri'kreen monk was the closest character, that they both succeeded in surprising him, and that they dealt enough successful hits to one-shot him was just sheer dumb bad luck. Deliciously ironic bad luck, though.
