Try this next time. Erase and redraw the whiskers in if you can't isolate them more easily. Add a layer of shading under the hat on the fur to give the illusion of it being on the head. This can be done with a burn tool directly onto the fur or with a separate layer of shadow with some transparency over the fur layer. Not a bad first try.
