How do you bolt things to bricks? Apparently using lead anchors, which work well in concrete, is not the answer. Hydraulic cement is the answer. Drill over sized holes, fill hole with cement and push a bolt into the hole headfirst and leave the threads sticking out. THAT works.
Remember _This Old House_ TV program. Well he was right, "Measure twice, cut once." I felt kind of stupid after I realized one side was 15 feet long than the other. Moving the mast (behind the camera) over 15 feet solved that problem.
And yes, that's my finger in the upper right hand corner. It's next to impossible to see what you're doing using a cell phone to take pictures in direct sunlight.
For those of you that are curios, it's a terminated folded dipole. 61 feet either side of center (102 feet over all length) ans the wire spacing is 12".
It's been a long slow project, but it keeps me off the street and out of trouble.
