This is an amazing Bowser!
Most of the time I see realistic depictions of Bowser folks tend to change his face-shape to something more reminiscent of a t-rex or a beak-like shape. Which at first is what threw me off about your picture because it kept a facial definition to it that felt so wrong yet so right it actually compelled me to look up a reference for Bowser. I love this take on his face shape for both badassness and accuracy. :D
I just have no end of nice things to say about this. I love the colour choices and mood for the king villain, I adore your choice of scale pattern and horns/spikes. The fire and cloud/smoke looks very neat too!

Okay. That said, the anatomy and build of the character is exceptional. As someone with a most unnatural fixation on Bowser spanning decades, I must tell you this is the most competent, creative and kick-butt-wicked rendition of a "real" Bowser among dozens of attempts. It's the only one I've seen that gets the essence of his comic form while also adding that dimension of class in an illustration. Your painting skills are wire marvelous!
