It's usually caused by double-clicking or page load errors, or sometimes accidental watches. They're not old watchers that left.

Often it's click, page error, back button, click again, and not realize they just unwatched you.

This one was over a week ago so I thought it would be a nice example. Sometimes that happens (errors) I do them as well but when I leave my inbox without cleaning for a while, sometimes I see two or three people do it.
Probably they changed their mind about watching?

I must say I do remove people from my watch sometimes, even if I like their art and decide to watch them
I keep checking if they'll post something else than porn (because their drawing styles are gorgeous) and if that is not happening then I remove them from my watch list. xD

There is a way to remove submissions that were favourited after they themselves were removed; but it's fucking painstaking and you can only do it once at time. But on a more benign note, some artists take down a submission to reupload one with corrections.

Ouch D: that's annoying

i always figured its due to the way the database works. Entries are automaticly added but removals have to be done manually by the user, to prevent accidental deletion by any bots or perhaps even the admins... It also prevents lots of trouble tickets about suddenly dissapearing watches and such cause lets face it. not many bother to learn how the whole system works :P

Sad thing is, watches DO randomly disappear as well. I have friends that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I +Watched, and recall seeing submissions from.. that suddenly stop coming in.

I've had this too, unwatching and rewatching them usually fixes it.

Yeah, I end up rewatching them as well, (as it's 'unwatched' them already for me) but it's a bit worrisome/bothersome that it does that. There are artists that don't upload very often at all, that I am watching in the hopes that they become active again. I would hate to miss out on that simply because it unwatched them.

Yeah I know how coding words and that you need to add in "if"in order to prevent the code from breaking when someone removes it. Uhm.. I don't think people usually send tickers about watchers disappearing, usually it's one or two (and unless you check it every day) I think It would be better to not get notified by the removals.

this happens to me too, and its definitely not accidental. i never clean out the people who watch me cuz i get so few i say why bother XD so when they do remove me its like wtf? i just uploaded some photographs, what else did you expect thats my art medium XD (happened recently when I uploaded new photos)

I always assume it's because they actually looked at my gallery. I also clean mine out every day or two, so I know it's somebody that watched and unwatched me recently.
