the pre making love/pro love making hug: Bodies close to one another, gentle feathery carresses. Long deep gazes into the soul of your lover. The warm emmenating from each other, enveloping into a safe sensoual enclosure. Where nothing else in the world exists but each other.

The Rei hug: Running as fast as you can then trying to slow down and failing so you end up tackling the other person. Then a warm back breaking embrace followed by lots of giggling.

comforting hug: holding them tight and close, stroking their back and murring in their ear..."its gonna be alright.."
tight hugs: aka what i always give. holding as close and as long as possible, letting that person know exactly how much you care for them, no words needed...

The nose bonk hug: One of my cats likes to hang out on the railing at the top of my stairs and when I stop to say hello he will put his paws up on my shoulders and, well, I can only describe it as trying to buff the fur off his forehead on my nose, like hard enough to knock my glasses off . . . .
Such a terrible thing to see leave ones life, with the loss of a lover and mate. Even worse when that lover is destroyed by injury or disease and they remain in only a half life that can not let you move on. Least you harm what is left. A sister can hug and a mother can hug but it is not the same.
The feel of a mentor’s arm around your shoulder as you walk side by side.
The subtle increase of tension that lets you know your recent failure is a part of life and learning, and indeed necessary to growing.
The slight shake of your shoulders that sends your heart soaring once again with the knowledge it imparts that all life’s failures are only temporary.

ive been told im good at hugging. i truly embrace someone in a hug, nice and comfortably close... though not always comfortable for the receiver if they didnt know it was coming! HAHAHAHA!!!

I rarely see people do, like, text-art poems... there's a term for it... :looks up: ... technopaegnia! ... that I like. In fact, they go against alot that I think is important in poetry. But the latter part of this, "Lover's Hug," is awesome, and slays my objections, at least for a while. (Rational objections to poetry are the undead.)
You caught me by surprise with the opening, which claims all hugs summarized in this bears-in-bars thing that makes me laugh but I can't really argue with.
Also-- that piece of Dark Natasha's is awesome; I really like two-figure poses with one party more nearly prone, and one sitting up. Something about that.

Quite charming little poem. It put smile on my face. Particularly the third date part... And I see one hug isn't mentioned: Wrestle hug: You hug so tightly you end up to the ground. If it's two brothers hugging, they can continue to wrestle after that. In the world of men it's hard to show your feelings towards a brother or a close friend, often hugging just ends up into handshaking and lots of pats on the back, but it's okay for two men to engage into a friendly wrestle match. Anyway, great little piece.
