I just figured that I'd finally post this pic. This is me and the Wreck, a 1914 Model T Roadster.
Here's the story behind her. At the museum I volunteer for, my friend recently bought this barn find 1914 roadster. It hadn't run in over 65 years. I pulled inspection covers and head off the engine and found that everything was in remarkably good shape. I told my friend that I think that I could get it running, and he just laughed, thinking that I was joking.
So on went a rebuilt carburetor, an Anderson timer, a rebuilt coil box, a set of my electronic coils, a lantern battery, oil, differential oil, and a set of wheels stolen from another T. She puttered a bit with several pulls of the crank, and then soon settled down to a smooth idle. You should have seen the look on his face!
The scary part is that it runs incredibly well, the bands are fantastic and engage perfectly, the rear brakes work, and the steering has almost no shimmy whatsoever.
It may not be entirely correct, but it gets more looks than just any other car that I have ever seen! I have appropriately called it the Wreck, and I want to keep it just like it is!

Well I think the Wreck has a good home with you my friend! BTW I really dig the retro outfit with the flat hat! It fits very well with the model T! I wish you many long miles in the future!! I hope I'm as lucky as you when it comes to repairing the 1966 Chevy Impala I'm looking to buy!
