I commissioned
Hoot, who remains almost too awesome, for this one. Thank you, Hootster!
Hoot was offering a set of bust slots again, and I just couldn't say no to another. The others have been lovely, and I was excited to see her take on Gale and Gloria. To hopefully no one's surprise, the piece came out wonderfully!
Here we see the friendly pair posing for a photo, each in their own way. The big question, though, is who is responsible for that adorable lifted paw? ^_~

I agree! I love that it could have been either of them, too, since it works for both expressions. ^^
I do try to avoid falling into the trap of having their personalities in diametric opposition. It's kind of easy for multi-headed characters to be written like that, since it's an easy source of jokes. Gale and Gloria do have different personalities, but I try to make sure that they complement each other. So much of their happiness and well-being relies on getting along with each other that I couldn't stand to see them in conflict very often!
Here, after all, they're both pleased to be posing for the picture. They're just showing it in different ways. ^^

No worries! I tend to go overboard when describing them, anyway. ^_~
There are a couple kicking around here and there, but it's certainly not all that common.
arakaraath is one of the old guard in that department, for sure.

Comics always sound like such fun, but they're so darn expensive that I have to really be onboard with the idea before I can commit funds to them. ^^;
As for a steady boyfriend, I think Gale enjoys playing the field too much to settle down. As for Gloria, well, I think she'd rather settle down with Gale. ^_~

Well, if it isn't my favorite pair again. Been a while since we last saw them, admittedly.
Heh, I wonder if Hoot feels cheated for having to do two heads in this bust shot :P Either way, this turned out quite well. I love Gloria's simple look, but you can't beat Gale's enthusiasm.
As for the paw, perhaps they made a mutual agreement beforehand? It seems to blend well with both of their poses.

It's always fun to have the twins come out to visit! It's just a little tricky sometimes both to find someone to draw them, and to come up with ideas for the pieces.
I know that Gale and Gloria represent more complexity to the table than an average commission, especially a bust shot, so I always mention to artists that I'm okay with extra fees. In this case, Hoot declined to charge her two-character fee, but I included a nice tip anyway. I'm not at all okay with someone feeling cheated after doing business with me. ^^
The paw does go quite well with both of their poses, which I'm still just tickled about. What a nice little extra!
