Just what it says. Decided to try out an unusual cut of meat I found in the store. Now normally I'd suggest either ultra thing strips, or pounding the meat, or use in a stew (because a strong muscle like this has a tendency to be tough); but this day I decided to see if I can make it a bit nicer. mixing sweet and savory sauces, I cooked the beef heart with mushrooms and green onion. then made an apple salsa and served it over some scalloped potatoes... making it into a little comfort meal ^^.

I didn't really go by a recipe, but I would suggest slicing off all the fat and grey parts off first, thin slicing the muscle (pound if it u can), marinade it in some kinda red or sweet wine and soy sauce (2:1 ratio) for at least half a day, then just saute and salt and pepper it as needed and throw in the mushrooms and onions once the meat is mostly browned. You can make a brown gravy to go over this if u wish. as for the salsa and potatoes, just google something online for those.
blackberry wine I used to marinade and season the beef. u can find it in walmart or most wine places and grocery stores. its just a kosher wine about $7.
the salsa, thats ab out it, I used some grinadine to add some color, the peppers I added were the sweet kind, not the spicy, sometimes u can add peach in too. google can tell u the ammounts of whatever to put in.
