very interesting species. Are they birds with suits that have fins or are they fish birds? or am I off?

Haha not by too much. :) They're aliens, but their appearance is based off of birds of prey, insects and lizards. Probably a bit of noticeable influence from the Turians of Mass Effect as well, at least for the faces.

They wear integrated cybernetic suits that grow with them from birth, because their core temperature must remain at around -360 degrees Fahrenheit. The suit keeps them from boiling alive! They breath air just like we do, but I just thought it'd be fun to create an underwater scene.

They don't have fins, the males just have ornamental wings and feathers.
