I hear you on chain allergies - I'm sensitive to anything other than sterling or surgical steel. I do offer a sterling silver option for an extra $15, though!

The only metal I can wear without a rash breaking out is 24k or higher gold. Makes me sound like a greedy jerk but that's how it is >_<

Not at all! When I was a kid my metal allergies were even worse and I could only wear gold. Our bodies are weird like that :D And as Sandy suggested, leather cord could work! However you'd have to make sure not to wear a low-cut shirt since to attach the wings in the middle, I would have to use some chain. But as long as the only part touching your skin is the leather cord, it shouldn't cause a problem.

Part of this is me thinking aloud to problem-solve for future necklaces :D I'd love to offer an affordable option for people who don't want to shell out extra for sterling silver chain.

This is, indeed, a very cool idea. Once some of my financial probs clear up I'll shoot you a line. Honestly, though, I'm not sure when that'll be given that I live off my commission work right now and that's not a terribly lucrative business >_<
